The Story Behind the Art

This cheerful parrot tulip caught me eye in a little garden across from Notre-Dame while traveling in Paris with two girlfriends one late-April day.  The photograph eventually became Parrot Tulip in Paris, a painting I created for a fundraiser benefiting a local animal rescue.
